EMDR Intensives are a concentrated form of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy designed to provide rapid and lasting relief from trauma-related symptoms. Unlike traditional weekly sessions, EMDR Intensives involve extended, focused sessions—available in either four-hour or eight-hour formats—offering a powerful opportunity for deeper healing and integration.
In addition to EMDR reprocessing, each intensive incorporates parts work (informed by Internal Family Systems) and somatic practices to support whole-person healing. These approaches allow you to explore and understand protective parts that may arise during reprocessing, release stored tension from the body, and restore connection between mind and body. This integration helps ensure that the healing achieved during EMDR sessions becomes deeply embodied and sustainable.
Accelerated Healing
Experience faster symptom reduction and emotional relief through focused and uninterrupted processing.
Deeper Processing
Explore and resolve traumatic memories in greater depth, promoting profound emotional insight and integration.
Mind-Body Connection
Somatic and body-based techniques help regulate the nervous system, fostering a greater sense of safety, calm, and presence throughout the process.
Internal Harmony
Parts work allows compassionate connection with protective or wounded aspects of the self, supporting lasting internal balance and resilience.
Personalized Treatment
Each intensive is fully customized to your unique history, needs, and goals, ensuring that every step of the process feels safe and attuned.
1. Preparation
Establish a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. Develop grounding tools and nervous system regulation skills.
2. History and Target Identification
Review relevant experiences and identify specific memories or themes to target for EMDR reprocessing.
3. Processing
Engage in extended EMDR sessions using bilateral stimulation, while incorporating somatic awareness and parts work to ensure full integration of emotional and physical responses.
4. Integration and Coping Skills
Conclude the intensive by integrating new insights, emotional shifts, and body-based awareness. Learn coping mechanisms and regulation techniques to maintain progress and resilience beyond the session.
Experience trauma-informed, integrative care from the comfort of your home or within a calm, supportive office setting.
