Clinical Internship Opportunities

At Therapy for the Soul, we offer clinical internship opportunities for Master of Social Work (MSW) students who are passionate about trauma-informed care and committed to pursuing clinical licensure (LCSW). Our internships are designed for students seeking meaningful, hands-on experience in an outpatient mental health setting.

Interns are immersed in a supportive, growth-oriented environment where they gain experience working with a wide range of diagnoses while developing a strong foundation in trauma-focused, evidence-based treatment.

What We Offer

• Direct clinical experience providing therapy in an outpatient setting 
• Training in trauma-informed modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Experiencing 
• Fully sponsored DBT skills training, including ongoing mentorship and support throughout the training process 
• Experience with clinical documentation and insurance-based practice operations 
• Guidance in case conceptualization, treatment planning, and professional development 

Post-Graduation Opportunities

For interns who are a strong fit and transition into a position with our practice, we offer:

• Free clinical supervision and advisement toward LCSW licensure 
• EMDR consultation hours to support the path toward EMDR certification 
• Ongoing mentorship in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing 

Our goal is to support the development of thoughtful, skilled, and confident clinicians who are committed to deep, meaningful healing work. We invest in our interns not only during their training, but as they grow into licensed professionals.

EMDR Consultation Services

In addition to our internship program, we offer EMDR consultation for licensed clinical social workers and licensed mental health counselors working toward EMDRIA certification. Consultation is available in both individual and group formats, providing structured support, case consultation, and guidance throughout the certification process.
