Free EMDR Consultation Hours
For a limited time, eligible clinicians can receive up to 10 hours of EMDR consultation at no cost as they work toward EMDRIA certification. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility to quality EMDR consultation for therapists seeking structured support and developing their skills.

EMDRIA Certification
EMDRIA certification entails specific education, clinical experience, consultation, and professional requirements set forth by the EMDR International Association. Clinicians pursuing certification should review current EMDRIA certification requirements directly with EMDRIA to ensure that their training, clinical experience, consultation hours, and other professional guidelines meet the standards necessary for certification.
Through our free consultation program, eligible clinicians may benefit from up to 10 hours of EMDR consultation at no cost, applicable toward their required consultation hours.
About the Consultation
Consultation is provided by an EMDRIA Consultant in Training (CIT) and aims to bolster clinicians’ understanding and application of EMDR therapy. Sessions may include:
• EMDR case conceptualization
• Treatment planning and target sequencing
• Understanding and applying the eight-phase EMDR protocol
• Case consultation and clinical decision making
• Identifying barriers to processing
• Strengthening confidence and competency in EMDR practice
• Integrating trauma-informed principles into EMDR treatment
• Support throughout the EMDRIA certification process
Consultation is educational and consultative rather than clinical supervision for professional licensure.

CLINICAL INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
At Therapy for the Soul, we offer clinical social work internships for Master of Social Work (MSW) students across the United States who are passionate about trauma-informed care and committed to pursuing clinical licensure. Our social work internships are designed for students seeking meaningful, hands-on experience in an outpatient mental health setting.
Interns are immersed in a supportive, growth-oriented environment where they gain experience working with a wide range of diagnoses while developing a strong foundation in trauma-focused, evidence-based treatment.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Direct clinical experience providing therapy in an outpatient setting
- Training in trauma-informed modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic approaches
- Fully sponsored DBT skills training, including ongoing mentorship and support throughout the training process
- Experience with clinical documentation and insurance-based practice operations
- Guidance in case conceptualization, treatment planning, and professional development
POST-GRADUATION OPPORTUNITIES
For interns who are a strong fit and transition into a position with our practice, we offer:
- Clinical supervision and advisement toward independent clinical licensure, in accordance with applicable state requirements
- EMDR consultation in Florida to support the path toward EMDRIA certification
- DBT skills consultation and ongoing professional development
- Ongoing mentorship in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic approaches
